After a long 2015 where numbers in the band started to dwindle due to work and life commitments, life at Worsbrough Brass has once again started to blossom.
A number of cornet players have joined the ranks on both the front and back rows respectively.
A full statement will be announced in the coming days.... watch this space for updates on who these talented players are.

Today began the arduous task of breathing new life into the website and updating the infomation contained therein. That however, is scarcely interesting in comparison to the other recent news ...
On the 5th March 2016, Worsbrough Brass competed at the Yorkshire Regionals playing Michael Ball's A Cambrian Suite and were placed 4th. Due to previous results in the Yorkshire Regionals, this result was good enough to see the band continue their meteoric rise by being promoted to the heady heights of the second section. Another few years and we'll be up in the Championship putting the likes of Black Dyke and Grimethorpe in their place ...
Until then, feel free to enjoy this live recording of the band's promotion-acheiving performance at St. George's Hall in Bradford.
Now no great third second section band can function without the support and dedication of all involved and it seems right to follow on from our contest success with two honorable mentions. Every year at our AGM, two awards are presented. These are the Sydney Woolton Trophy for Outstanding Contribution to the Band and the Most Improved Player award.
James Boswell was awarded the Sydney Woolton Trophy for his tireless dogsbody-ing, far beyond the call of duty even for a Band's secretary.
Charlie Moulson was awarded Most Improved Player for his services in providing all manner of percussion from the occasional bass drum thwack and cymbal crash to "layin' down phat beatz" (as I believe 'the kids' would say) in our more funky repetoire. Below is a photo of Charlie with his shield
So hearty congratulations to both James and Charlie and here's to a prosperous debut year in the second section.
